three box specimen series with red blades

The specimen series is a new line of work that focuses on small arrangements of organic shapes. The boxes create frames which both restrict and enhance the pieces that they contain.  This piece incorporates 3 boxes that have a selection of red blade forms fused to the boxes. Some of the blade are contained while others are starting to crawl out.  Each box is designed to be wall mounted with a simple wire loop on the back. These pieces are hand-built from high fired stoneware and each piece is original and unique.
