"Clay with Your Food" workshops are a clay and food fusion of artistic and culinary delight with instructors Melissa Schilling of Praise Cheeses Pass the Wine and Jenni Ward of Earth Art Studio. Students will cook, create, taste and touch to explore the theme of each workshop.

Dia de los Muertos
Celebrate the flavors & textures of Mexico with a cooking and art exploration. Our class will begin with a field trip to the Pajaro Valley Arts Council Gallery to see the annual exhibit of "Mi Casa es tu Casa". We will be inspired by neighbors South of the Border's culturally rich history. The celebration of Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is a tradition that has evolved through the centuries and has become an integral element of the Mexican spirit and culture. Dancing skeletons, pan muerte (dead bread) and sugar skulls are part of the creative folk art traditions we will explore in this 2-part workshop. We will incorporate clay and edible ingredients to create our very own celebration at Earth Art Studio. Embark on this historic culinary and art adventure to enjoy the tastes, smells and creative spirit of this festive Mexican holiday.
